What to wear

Neat and clean: dark pants, a clean plain shirt, non-slip shoes if you have them. Hair pulled back.

4. Why is there a gap in your work history?
5. When can you start?
6. Can you work nights, weekends, and holidays?
7. How do you handle a rush or an upset customer?
8. Tell me about a time you worked as part of a team.

When they ask about your record

Keep it under 30 seconds, be honest, and bring it back to the job. If your record was expunged, you may answer about the expunged part as if it never happened.

Questions to ask them

1. What does a normal shift look like?
2. How soon can I start?
3. Is there room to move up to shift lead?
4. What would make someone great in this job?
5. What are the next steps, and when should I follow up?
