Before release

The model in one paragraph

Broken Champions provides mentoring and transitional services to adults returning from Indiana prisons. Before release, a Dream Team of twelve screened volunteers maintains weekly contact and funds commissary and a reentry fund that builds the person's credit.

Release day

The first 72 hours

On release day we meet the person at the gate and stabilize the first 72 hours (lodging, phone, food, IDs, benefits, and the first supervision report), then follow up at 30, 90, and 365 days, connecting people to existing services through our county-by-county directory. Faith-based programming is voluntary and privately funded.
